Description   The TrueCharge 20+ is a true "smart" battery charger designed specifically for today's high capacity deep-cycle lead or gel batteries. This charger provides excellent charging performance and features. All the models provide the correct charge cycle for any flooded (wet) and gel batteries. The TrueCharge 20 and 40 will also handle AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries. The True Charge 20+ is designed to charge 12 volt batteries with capacities from 100 amp-hours to 400 amp-hours, while the TrueCharge 40+ is designed specifically for charging batteries with capacities above 400 amp-hours. The TrueCharge chargers can be set via a face mounted selector switch to deliver either a 2-step or 3-step charge cycle, or a fixed 13.5 volt power supply mode. A separate recessed Equalize button can be depressed to trigger a controlled overcharge to flooded batteries to equalize their individual cells. The TrueCharge 20 and 40 has 3 separate DC positive terminals allowing charging of up to three separate batteries or battery banks. Safety protection features include: anti-spark protection, reverse polarity and short circuit protection, ignition protection, low voltage protection, and over temperature shut down. When permanently connected to the battery, the TrueCharge chargers will check the battery at 21 day intervals and "top up" the batteries automatically to ensure they are always in peak condition.
