You can recharge the Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries from the 12 vDC cigarette lighter adapter or from the included 110v AC charger. Or in an emergency you can use 6AA alkaline batteries (not included). Its waterproof and includes all US / International / Canadian channels, with Instant Channel 16 / 9 / Triple Watch as well as all NOAA Weather Channels with Weather Alert and a Memory Channel Scan.
